not a night for Comuzzo, the usual Quarta, Mandragora saves the Viola

Below are the votes of the Viola players in the 1-1 draw against Vitoria Guimaraes.

TERRACCIANO 6: on the goal conceded perhaps he could have done something more on Kaio Cesar’s cross, in the second half he made a good save on Da Silva’s shot.

DODO 6: not very brilliant compared to what he has accustomed us to so far, in the end he brings home the passing mark by serving the cross for Mandragora.

COMUZZO 5: a decidedly negative evening for the young Viola defender. Even before Da Silva’s goal he sent some signs of his bad evening with a bad lost ball that led Nuno Santos to graze the post. On the goal conceded, everything starts from his wrong pass, he tries to make up for it by chasing Kaio Cesar who, however, manages to serve the winning assist. FROM 46′ RANIERI 6: gives the defense a little extra confidence on a tough night.

WEDNESDAY 5: another horror evening. On Vitoria’s first goal Da Silva gets lost behind him and then risks a lot with a killer back pass, luckily for him Da Silva decides to simulate, saving the Argentine’s mistake.

PARISI 5.5: the goal comes from his side, he often suffers from Kaio Cesar’s incursions. DAL 75′ GOSENS 6: gives his contribution in the final assault with his push.

MANDRAGORA 6.5: one of the least negative in what was a bad overall performance, he undermined the team at the end by finding himself in the right place at the right time.

RICHARDSON 5: not very concentrated, he often gets caught from behind by his opponents. He loses some poisonous balls and on the goal he concedes he is too slow in helping the team positioned badly due to the lost ball. DAL 46′ ADLI 6: he gives a little more order and cleanliness to the midfield with his entry.

GUDMUNDSSON 5.5: not very incisive, he is unable to be found on the lines and is often forced to move back several meters to get the ball. DAL 58′ KEAN 6: we miss a nice goal one-on-one with the goalkeeper but his entry gives a positive shock to the team.

BELTRAN 5: same bad match in Bologna. On the left he struggles a lot to find his own position to do damage and in fact he is completely out of the game. The good ball served to Kean was not enough to save a performance that remained negative.

ICONS’ 5: unfortunately the problem of inconclusiveness arises as soon as the opponent levels up a little. It is only seen at the beginning of the match where he has an excellent opportunity, but his left-footed shot is lopsided and ends up high. FROM 58′ COLPANI 5.5: he still struggles to establish himself on the wing, his entry adds little.

SECTION 5.5: has a great chance after a few minutes but slides awkwardly in front of the goalkeeper. In the second half it continues to be too confusing.

PALLADINO 6: a bit like in Bologna the team is absent and suffers too much from the opponents’ initiatives. Quarta continues to confirm himself as a player in difficulty, as does Beltran moved to the left to play alongside Gudmundsson. Kean’s arrival gives a jolt to the team who reach the result in the end. The objective of reaching the round of 16 is achieved and this is the important thing but something didn’t work, even tonight.
