The young New Zealander will replace Perez and join Verstappen in the next Formula 1 World Championship
Red Bull has announced that Liam Lawson will be the team’s second official driver in the 2025 Formula 1 World Championship. The 22-year-old New Zealander will take the place of the Mexican Sergio Perez, alongside the Dutch Max Verstappen, world champion in 2024. Lawson is not a rookie in F1: in the last two seasons he took part in some races with Alpine, collecting two ninth places as his best finish in the championship just concluded. An important step for the young talent who is preparing to experience a new, exciting challenge with Red Bull.
