Leonardo Semplici’s Sampdoria abandons the Italian Cup at the end of a match that was already compromised in the first half of the first half and then ended 4-1 with a modicum of pride and the winning goal in the second half. Semplici experiments with a four-man defense and a trident with Pedrola, Borini and Leonardi, but Roma dominates the first half and closes the game in just over twenty minutes. In the 3rd minute Baldanzi jumps Vulikic and shoots with his right foot which is blocked by Vismara, then Dobvyk unleashes himself. The Ukrainian broke the deadlock in the 8th minute by anticipating the central defenders and scoring with his toe, then doubled the lead after a ball deflected clumsily onto the crossbar by Meulensteen, an easy tap-in for 2-0. In the 23rd minute Baldanzi scores the hat trick at the end of a personal move, a wide and careless defense, the former Empoli player kicks the ball into the corner to make it 3-0. Roma, who can control it, decline slightly and the Blucerchiati also appear in Roma’s area in the final ten minutes, on both occasions thanks to Pedrola: in the 36th minute the Spaniard serves Leonardi who kicks and finds the rebound from Celik (with protests for a touch of the hand) while in the 45th minute a man jumps and puts a ball in the middle, Veroli tries the shot which ends high.

Semplici also throws Sekulov into the fray for the young Leonardi, little changes because it is Roma who hold the reins of the game and find the poker with Shomurodov who, with his head, heads Angelino’s cross behind Vismara.
