The residents of the Tower 2 of the White Madonna have reported in recent days, to Itea and to the condominium administrator, the existence of a illegal barber set up in the cellars of the building.
Apparently, the situation has been going on for some time, with some tenants having several times invited the alleged perpetrator to stop the illegal activity.
Every Saturday, several young people – mostly of Maghreb origin, but born in Italy – gather in the basement of Tower 2, waiting for their turn for a haircut.
The presence of the illegal barber would also have generated episodes of degradation: waste has been reported abandoned in common areas, including stairwells, and even excrement found in front of a tenant’s door.
Despite the irregularity of the business, those who manage it do not seem to hide: a video was apparently published on a social media page – apparently belonging to one of the young people involved (click here to see it) which clearly shows the barber at work in the cellar. The video then became public, gaining a lot of virality on the web. It is also rumored that the space used was even sublet, a practice prohibited by public housing regulationsbut it remains a hypothesis to be verified.
Following the reports to ITEA, it remains to be seen whether in the next few days steps will be taken to put an end to this situation.
