The world of Formula 1 is as generous as it is ruthless with those who do not bring the results that everyone expects onto the track, especially if you drive a Red Bull that teammate Max Verstappen drove to win, despite a thousand difficulties, the title of Champion of the pilots world.
We’re talking about Sergio Perezwhich in the last season (not to mention the last two seasons), has brought increasingly disappointing performances to the track. Every Grand Prix for him and the team was a real ordeal made up of flying lap times so high that they didn’t even get the car into Q2; or decidedly disappointing race paces, remaining stuck behind cars that were decidedly slower than his, together with accidents that were unbecoming of a driver of his calibre.
It was certainly the psychological state of the driver, not very lucid and under a mountain of pressure made up of ultimatums at every disappointing race, only to be pardoned until he completed the season (perhaps, one assumes, also due to contractual issues). Now, however, that seat next to the four-time world champion next season may no longer be occupied by the Mexican, in his place a certain Yuki Tsunoda has made enormous pressure to “rise up the ranks”, also recording some good performances at the end of this 2024 world championship .
Tsunoda, however, is not looked upon favorably in the Red Bull garage due to his irascible character in certain stressful situations, for this reason in the last few hours the most likely option would be that of Liam Lawson as announced by Julien Febreau of Canal+, which would free up the Racing Bulls seat next to Tsunoda.
