The new girlfriend of the former Paralympic champion warns the Daily Mail: “I will warn her to sleep with one eye open”
Former South African Paralympic champion Oscar Pistorius, sentenced to 13 years and 5 months for the murder of his partner Reeva Steenkamp 10 years ago, was granted parole on January 5, after serving 9 years.
Today at 37 years old he cleans in a small suburban church, the rest of the time he spends smoking and watching TV in one of the 24 rooms of his uncle’s villa who hosts him. He suffers from anxiety, avoids windows because he is afraid of being shot. The Daily Mail tells it in a report. “He looks more like a ghost than a human being. He’s not friendly, he’s not extroverted – a parishioner tells the New York Post – I don’t know if I’ve ever seen him smile. It’s just a shadow of what it once was.”
But the fairy tale has not convinced everyone, especially Reeva Steenkamp’s family, especially her sister who has made some rather harsh statements at the Daily Mail from her home in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, especially towards her new girlfriend, 33-year-old Rita Greyling
«I look at the photographs of this woman and at this moment I get shivers and goosebumps. What shocks me is that she looks so much like my Reeva. He has the same build, the same face and hair, even the same eyes. Is he so sick that he wants to find a lookalike? I wonder: after killing Reeva, did he want to replace her with someone else? I also wonder how a woman can close her eyes at night and go to sleep with a man who she knows fired four bullets that mutilated the flesh of a woman he said he loved. Those bullets were Black Talon bullets, which are illegal for use on animals, but he shot one into Reeva’s head and three more into her body, doing terrible things. How can you hug a man who you know has that trigger hidden inside him?”.

«This shows me even more that he has no remorse for what he did to Reeva. Reeva found Oscar totally charming at first for the first three months and no doubt the same happened with this woman, but then he changes and becomes more domineering. He became very possessive and Reeva wanted to leave but Oscar wouldn’t let her. I will always be convinced that that night she ended the relationship and he lost all control. If he couldn’t have her, no one could have her, so he took the gun and shot her. He killed her. They were special bullets that expanded upon impact with human flesh.”
Then the warning for Rita Greyling: “This new woman knows that a judge found him guilty of murder, which means she must know that he was found capable of doing that to a woman, but she’s sleeping with him? I have nothing against her, but I will warn her to sleep with one eye open. He has the potential within him to do what he did to Reeva again and I never want that to happen again. He will always have anger issues and to some extent I can understand that, having had such a tough childhood: his legs were amputated at birth and his mother died when he was 15. His father didn’t make it and he went to live with his uncle, so life was hard for him and I understand that, but unfortunately the anger inside him boiled over and led to a murder. I know as part of his probation he has to take anger management classes and gender violence classes, but as far as I’m concerned it’s always somewhere inside him. I’m so shocked that he chose a woman who looks so much like my Reeva. I can’t help but think that after getting rid of one Reeva, he got another.”
