Keanu Reeves, red carpet with words of love for Alexandra Grant: «It’s really special to be side by side. I feel my heart expand.”

Public appearances as a couple Keanu Reeves e Alexandra Grant they are quite rare. But every time they tell of a love that is going swimmingly. It just happened at the Los Angeles premiere of the animated film Sonic the Hedgehog 3: the sixty-year-old actor and the fifty-one-year-old painter they arrived on the red carpet holding hands and they never stopped exchanging knowing glances and smiles (see gallery under). Then Reeves, who voices the villain Shadow in the new film, chatting with Entertainment Tonight he spent words full of love for his partner: «We got dressed up and It was very exciting to hang out together. It’s really special to be side by side». The actor then added that when he saw his partner all dressed up for the premiere he was enchanted: «I simply felt my heart expand».

Keanu and Alexandra, who they have known each other since at least 2011they made their relationship official in 2019 with the couple’s first red carpet. Since then we have rarely seen them in public. Because, as an insider explained some time ago to People«they are often invited to events, but they only participate in those that really matter to them»: «I am one a decidedly normal couple, and very homely. Social parties are not for them, they prefer to have fun inviting friends to your house». And in fact last year the actor, when he was asked (by People) to talk about his «last moment of bliss” he described a home evening with his girlfriend: «A couple of days ago with my darling. We were in bed. We were connected. We were smiling, laughing and giggling. We felt great. It was really nice to be together.”

Every now and then, however, the star and the painter appear in the spotlight. And those rare appearances are enough to tell the profound feeling that binds them. For example, last July the two arrived together embraced, happy and smiling, on the red carpet of the Moca Gala in Los Angeles. And the year before, at the Museum of Contemporary Art Gala, they had even exchanged a kiss in favor of flash. On the other hand, already a few years ago Keanu’s friends had said that the actor, thanks to Alexandra, had “finally found happiness” after years marked by profound pain: at 23 the star of Matrix he lost one of his best friends, River Phoenix, killed by a drug overdose; in 2001 his partner Jennifer Syme died in a car accident.
