Presentation
ENSAD Dijon, one of the oldest Art and design schools in France, stands out for its commitment to artistic transmission and its strong links with the professional sector, affirming its leading position in higher artistic education.
Training at ENSAD
The National School of Art and Design of Dijon (ENSAD Dijon) offers training in art and spatial design, recognized for its innovative approach and its adaptation to contemporary issues.
Recognized diplomas
Under the joint supervision of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, the school awards two national diplomas: the National Diploma of Art (DNA), equivalent to a license, and the National Diploma Superior in Plastic Expression (DNSEP), equivalent to a master’s degree.
A progressive specialization
The 1st year of study at ENSAD Dijon is common, after which students choose between the Art option, aimed at training artists through the development of personal research projects, and the Space Design option, which offers a generalist approach to design, from conception to production, at all scales. The Space Design course places particular emphasis on contemporary challenges such as ecological transition and inclusiveness.
An innovative pedagogy
Teaching is provided by a faculty made up of committed artists, designers, architects, and theorists, supported by external speakers through workshops, conferences and seminars. ENSAD Dijon’s educational approach encourages experimentation, transdisciplinarity, and overcoming traditional boundaries between disciplines, in order to allow students to develop critical and creative thinking.
Students have access to a variety of technical workshops, the latest technologies, and benefit from enriching theoretical support. “Outside the walls” experiences, professional meetings, and international exchanges enrich the educational journey, offering a global and contemporary perspective.
ENSAD Dijon thus prepares its students to embrace the multiple facets of artistic and design careers, by equipping them with an in-depth understanding of current issues and providing them with the tools necessary to innovate and contribute significantly to society.
