Feliciani’s performance at the Allianz in the Italian Cup round of 16 match analyzed by X-ray, the Abruzzo whistle did not warn any player
Ermanno Feliciani, match director of the Teramo section, was the choice for Juventus-Cagliari. The Abruzzo referee was born in 1991, but has only two seasons in Serie A, with 2 total matches under his direction, of which 13 last year. He began his third season in the top competition refereeing Inter for the first time in the match against Genoa where he still made some mistakes and continued to have confidence with the appointment of Roma-Udinese but was not convincing in Napoli-Como and Atalanta- Verona and then causing a mess in Monza-Milan, when he disallowed a regular goal from Dany Mota. Since then he has no longer refereed in Serie A, let’s see how the Abruzzo referee fared yesterday at the Allianz.
Feliciani’s history with Juventus and Cagliari
For Feliciani it was the second career direction of the Bianconeri. Indeed there is only one precedent which dates back to last season when, on the tenth matchday, Juve beat Verona 1-0 at home: an unconvincing performance where Teramo’s whistle paid for his lack of experience, helped by Var in important calls but made many small errors during the match like the unseen simulation by Faraoni which then led to the cancellation of Kean’s goal. Only one match also with Cagliari who lost on the occasion.
The referee didn’t draw any cards
Assisted by assistants Vecchi and Di Gioia with Bonacina IV man, Pezzuto at Var and Di Paolo at Avarthe referee did not warn any players.
Juventus-Cagliari, the slow-motion cases
These are the main dubious episodes. In the 55th minute Vlahovic scored for Juventus’ 3-0, but he was offside, the goal was disallowed, a decision also confirmed by the VAR. In the 72nd minute there was another insult for Vlahovic: Conceicao’s shot was blocked by a defender and the Serbian’s header into an empty net , but the referee stops everything again for offside. Quiet evening for Feliciani, who didn’t warn anyone. Juve-Cagliari ends 4-0.
