«Bladi is an Arabic word full of meanings – explains Ouafa Lotfi Tahoun – literally translates as “my country” but it is a concept that brings with it much more: the sense of roots, traditions, identity. It is a term that we find in many Arabic songs to express pride in one’s land of origin, its thousand-year history, its bewitching colors and, at the same time, it has a melancholic meaning for those who live far from their homeland and continue to carry it in your heart. I am proud to bring my land, my country, to the most elegant and vibrant center of Milan, through unique proposals and original objects handmade by local artisans.”
