Le Pen welcomes a “more positive method” from Bayrou
Marine Le Pen welcomed Monday after an interview with the new Prime Minister François Bayrou a “more positive method” than her predecessor Michel Barnier, whom she had accused of having received it too late. “The method is more positive than what I have seen so far”, estimated the boss of the National Rally deputies, the first group leader received at Matignon since the appointment of Mr. Bayrou. She was accompanied by the N.1 of the party Jordan Bardella. In search of a viable solution to pass a budget in an Assembly without a majority, François Bayrou began on Monday a consultation of the groups in the National Assembly “by their order of digital ‘importance’ in this room. Marine Le Pen also indicated that she had “expressed to the Prime Minister the reservations” that the RN had “on a certain number of personalities” likely to enter the government. She notably discussed with him the proportional voting method claimed by the RN but also the MoDem, François Bayrou’s party. “I know that the Prime Minister is attached to proportional representation and it seems to me that it is a project” to be implemented “just after the budget”, he said. she pleaded. It is “a priority to allow all French people to be represented” and “perhaps (…) to bring out a majority”, she justified. She associated the left’s proposal to not to censor the government if it no longer uses 49.3, for “unworthy negotiations” which “devalue the political class”.”No one must give up any of the tools given to us by the Constitution (.. .) we do it choice to use it or not to use it”, she developed.are/jmt/abl
