Brussels remains the most expensive region in the country for all types of housing. Closed or semi-closed type houses cost 505,000 euros (+0.4%). The median price of open-plan houses increased by 20% to 1,020,250 euros while the median price of apartments increased by 2.7% to 267,000 euros.
The five most expensive municipalities in the Kingdom for a house are all located in Flanders (Knokke, Lathem-Saint-Martin, Crainhem, Boechout and Schilde). The most expensive Walloon municipality for real estate remains Lasne where you can expect to have to pay 611,500 euros for a house (median price).
In Wallonia, the least expensive municipalities, in the third quarter of 2024, are Hastière (median price of 92,000 euros for a house), Froidchapelle and Dour. Charleroi is the cheapest for apartments (median price of 102,500 euros).
In Brussels, the most expensive municipalities for an apartment are Saint-Gilles and the two Woluwe, the most affordable being Anderlecht, Koekelberg and Jette.
