The custody of the main suspect, suspected of a quintuple murder near Dunkirk (North), was extended on Monday December 16, franceinfo learned from the Dunkirk prosecutor. It will be lifted on Tuesday, with a view to presenting it to an investigating judge, the Dunkirk public prosecutor’s office said in a press release on Monday evening.
On Saturday afternoon, two security agents and two migrants were killed in Loon-Plage, near Grande-Synthe, west of Dunkirk. It was a man who came spontaneously to the Ghyvelde gendarmerie brigade who claimed to be the perpetrator. He also accused himself of a fifth murder committed in Wormhout, on a 29-year-old man.
The research section of the Lille gendarmerie is responsible for the investigation.
