Recovery has begun. Fiorentina midfielder Edoardo Bove has been out of hospital for a few days and even visited his teammates at Viola Park. Today he released a statement revealing that he feels “good” and highlighted that the support he has received from fans, teammates and rivals has been instrumental in his recovery after was placed in an artificial coma.
Bove shared his message on social media:
“It’s moments like this that I understand how truly authentic this sport is and how, beyond the results, the competition and the rivalries, we are all connected,”
Bove posted to Instagram on Monday, making his first public comments since the incident.
“I have experienced this from the inside in recent days: the affection I received, the warmth of the fans, the support of my teammates and my rivals, as well as the closeness of the entire Football community made me feel gave incredible strength and courage,”

he adds.
“I felt surrounded by positive energy, which helped me stay calm and avoid the loneliness that often accompanies situations like this.”
Bove, 22, left hospital on Friday but will not be able to play again in Italy if he has to use a defibrillator for his heart. It’s a fate that also befell Eriksen when he played for Inter and suffered a cardiac arrest during the Euros.
