At least five people were found shot dead this Saturday, December 14 near Dunkirk, in the North. Among the victims, there is a man found dead in the street in Wormhout, two security officers from the port of Dunkirk and two migrants from a nearby camp, according to a police source at TF1-LCI.
According to a source close to the case, an individual has since gone to the Ghyvelde gendarmerie around 5 p.m., confessing to being the author of the five homicides. Several weapons were reportedly found inside his vehicle, parked in front of the gendarmerie.
The first victim was a business manager, killed in the town of Wormhout where he lived, in front of his wife and children, according to our information. The profile of the four other victims has not been further specified. According to an association on site contacted by TF1info, a major security system was created around the migrant camp located on Route de Mardyck, in the town of Loon Plage. All migrant aid associations had to leave the camp.
