It is she who will wear the colors of New Aquitaine, election of Miss France this Saturday in Poitiers. Laura Brandborn in Talence, graduated in dentistry, intends to draw on the support she already receives from the Girondins.
Miss Biganos-Porte du Bassin
“It’s huge. When I see the room, the stage, the pressure starts to build.” On the phone, Laura Marque, 25, begins slowly to realize what is happening to him. She admits it: initially, Miss France was “a little vacation“in his head.”But there, I tell myself that I will be in front of almost 5,000 people, and millions of viewers. I’m both happy to be there, but at the same time, the stress is mounting“.
But over the past month, the pace has intensified. “We keep rehearsing, it’s a bit tiring“. That’s without counting the interviews, the fittings and the preparation of the speeches. However, Laura refuses to feel sorry for herself : “There are so many girls who would love to be in my place. When I feel sluggish, I tell myself that I’m very lucky, so fatigue will come later“.
She also knows that she can count on the support of her home department: born in Talence, she is originally from Arcachon. Before being Miss Aquitaine, she was elected Miss Biganos-Porte du Bassin last March. “I receive so much support from Gironde. Whether it’s the local Miss committees or the public, I feel that there are people behind me. Obviously, it’s positive because it pushes me to believe in myself, but on the other hand, it can generate a little extra stress.”
A place on the podium?
If its “roots matter a lot“for her, the young girl has spent part of his life abroad : she studied dentistry in Portugal, which she has just finished. “I wanted to have my diploma before Miss France. And basically, it’s not at all a little girl’s dream. It’s more of a personal challenge, to have more confidence in myself.”
She also has every chance of winning the crown and being crowned Miss France 2025, since according to the France Bleu surveyLaura Marque is classified in third position out of 30 candidates. “The inhabitants of Aquitaine just need to vote for me if I make it to the 15 finalists. Miss France is a team competition!“
