Accused of having deployed IDF troops near Damascus, the Hebrew state has denied any intrusion on Syrian soil.

While Syrian sources say they have identified IDF troops southwest of Damascus, Israel denies any advance beyond the Golan Heights and defends itself against any intrusion on Syrian soil.
Since the fall of the Bachal al Assad regime, the Hebrew state shells the Syrian capital as well as the coastal city of Latakia. The IDF, which justifies its operations as an attempt to destroy key infrastructure of the Syrian army, claimed on Tuesday to have destroyed its military fleet.
A buffer zone planned in southern Syria
“I warn the rebel leaders in Syria: anyone who follows the path of [Bashar al] Assad will end up like Assad. We will not allow an extremist Islamic terrorist entity to act against Israel beyond its borders and put our citizens in danger. We will do whatever is necessary to eliminate the threat.” said Israel Katz, Israeli Defense Minister.
To protect itself from any attack, the IDF has also declared its intention to establish a demilitarized zone in southern Syria.
At the same time Benjamin Netanyahu responded to growing criticism of his army's takeover of the Golan Heights. Prime minister says buffer zone will be part of Israel “for eternity”.
