In L'Aiglontine, the nursing home on rue Souchey in L'Aigle (Orne), Alexandra is in contact with elderly people every day and she knows their needs well. The manager of the establishment thus had the idea of creating a mobile kitchen allowing you to contact the residents of the residence. “We use it at least once a week, and sometimes more, and for example we can make pancakes before their eyes,” summarizes the discreet Alexandra.
She rolls and finds her place
The principle of the mobile kitchen is simple. In a piece of furniture on casters, a induction hoband electric oven and a microwave oven. When it is not used in the mobile version, the equipment finds its place under the cupboards of a classic fitted kitchen.
Elizabeth Danidirector of the L'Aigle hospital center, congratulated Alexandra for this well-executed initiative, as well as the technical teams “for the creation of this kitchen. It had to be sufficiently maneuverable and it had to be able to take the elevator.”
The idea that doesn't make an oven
She is pleased with the welcome given by the residents.
This mobile kitchen is well received by residents. They appreciate it when we use it for activities, they like to smell the smells of the dishes. This idea allows them to change their ordinary into a little extraordinary.
Conviviality on the menu
A convivial tool par excellence, this kitchen was presented last Friday in the presence of staff from the establishment, the director and representatives of the municipality, Nathalie Lenôtredeputy mayor and Philippe Van-Hoornemayor. Project partners, theassociation St-Louis of the hospital and the Credit Agricole were thanked by the site management for this useful commitment.
Crédit Agricole is not in its first attempt with the hospital, it has already participated in the financing of the family lounge, the grocery store, the beauty treatment, etc.
