Gil Avérous, Minister of Sports, Youth and Community Life, has entrusted a mission on large stadiums to the Territoires d’Evènements Sportifs (TES) association.

Olympic and Paralympic Games, World Cup… perhaps more than ever, the large French stadiums have been at the heart of sporting events in recent years. Now, how can we plan for the next major international projects? And with what legacy after the Games? Questions to be answered by the Territoires d’Evènements Sportifs (TES) association.

Recommendations by the end of 2025

The latter was entrusted with a mission in major stadiums by Gil Avérous, Minister of Sports, Youth and Community Life. “Local authorities are the major public stakeholders in renovation and construction projects for large sports venues”underlines Gil Avérous. “Their expertise must be put to use. This mission entrusted to Territoires d’Evènements Sportifs will make it possible to prepare the future of our large stadiums as closely as possible to the realities on the ground. »

This mission aims in particular to develop an assessment and proposals concerning the major stadiums, with the exception of the Stade de . , , and many others: many sites are now affected. This mission will make it possible to develop concrete recommendations by the end of 2025 so that France remains sustainably equipped with quality sports venues meeting the standards of the biggest international competitions and to promote the sustainability of investments.
