On the occasion of Pope Francis’ visit to Corsica, religious celebrations will take place on Place Miot and at Casone. on Miot Square, participants will be able to follow the mass broadcast live on a giant screen, while at Casone, the Holy Father will celebrate the mass in person. However, to access these sites, it is imperative to register in advance, as specified in the information available on the Bishop’s website.

Pre-registration required: no place without a ticket
Pre-registrations are now open, but they do not automatically guarantee a place, the bishopric indicates on its website. “The processing of requests, carried out according to available places, will result in a confirmation email.” specifies the diocese. PTo access the celebration areas, each participant, including children aged 1 and over, must present a personal ticket. This non-transferable ticket is the key to accessing the sites.
Please note that no seats will be available, neither at Place Miot nor at Casone. Participants will therefore have to remain standing throughout the mass.

A broadcast mass and a live celebration
At Place Miot, after Pope Francis’ stroll, the mass will be broadcast on giant screens, allowing everyone to follow the ceremony and receive communion. At the Casone, a procession of the brotherhoods will precede the mass, which will be celebrated live by the Pope.

Strict hours: from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Access to the sites will be permitted between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., and entry will not be possible after 2:00 p.m. Any exit will be final after this time. It is therefore crucial to respect these times to participate in the event with peace of mind.

Special attention for people with reduced mobility
The Bishop’s website also specifies that special arrangements will be put in place for people with reduced mobility. Detailed information on this subject will be communicated soon.
