Black Friday continues in Essonne to the delight of your wallet. This Thursday, December 5, 2024, the town of Arpajon is organizing for the fourth consecutive year the 1,000 potato operationnamely a sale of potatoes and onions at cost price.
The 10 kg bag sold for €5
Organized in collaboration with a farmer from the Essonne department, this event aims to promote the short circuit from consumer to producer.
This sale will be carried out in drive mode. A truck will park in the CAF parking lot, located rue du Docteur Verdié, in Arpajon, from 9 a.m. while stocks last.
To be able to benefit from potatoes and onions at cost price, consumers will therefore have to move quickly. The 10 kg bag will be sold for €5, i.e. 0.50 € per kilo.
According to INSEE (National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies), the average price of a one-kilo bag of potatoes in October 2024 was €2.01, compared to €2.92 for onions. One thing is certain, it’s definitely worth it!
