It spread, then destroyed a technical room and an awning adjoining the establishment, at the intersection of rue de Bayeux and rue des Églantiers.
Trash cans “already burned three weeks ago”
“After midnight, I was notified by one of my delivery men, who was passing rue de Bayeux,” says Samy Hadjour. “I took my car, I drove and I don't know how I got here. Around 1:30 a.m., everything was burning. » The fire leaves him stunned, but ultimately does not surprise him. Samy Hadjour is all the more touched as he has, until now, spent his entire career in the establishment opened since 2009 on rue de Bayeux. “I’ve always known this store. I arrived there as a deliveryman in 2015, then a team member and manager. » Before being promoted to supervisor of the chain's three restaurants in Caen.
I grew up with Domino's Pizza.

The room, with its ten tables bearing the blue helmets of the delivery men, was not prey to the flames. There cuisine at the rear suffered “a water damage“, according to Samy Hadjour. ” A pipe exploded with the heat. »
The charred wing of the restaurant is destroyed. Of the awning, only the blackened frame remains. The premises reveal the remains of the delivery men's bicycles and twelve electric scooters, out of use. Like all maintenance equipment.
At the beginning of 2025, “it’s sure, we will reopen”
The establishment on rue de Bayeux makes work “32 employees”counts Samy Hadjour. “They are all worried. ” But not yet technically unemployed. For the moment, they are transferred to the restaurant on avenue Clémenceau. “We respect the schedule of the delivery people, but they will not be able to work all their hours. » Unemployment must supplement. “We have 30 days to register them. »
After filing a complaint this Monday morning, Samy Hadjour is now waiting l’expertisewhich must be done “within 48 hours”to assess the scope of the work. At the end of the interview, he wanted to be optimistic. “For sure, we will reopen at the beginning of next year. »
