Saturday December 7, 2024, the Christmas market in Condé-en-Normandie (Calvados) will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Square Maurice Dossin. The team of volunteers from the Animations Saint-Martin association, chaired by Ludovic Bruno, is preparing a big day of activities to celebrate Christmas.
For the occasion, a walkof the guided toursof the oversized gamesof the carriage ridesand the possibility of being photographed with Santa Claus.
Gospel concert
Originally from Avranches, the Free Gospel choir, a mixed adult choir, under the direction of Marie-Laure Bourdin, shares the same passion: Gospel choral singing.
This unique concert will take place, this Saturday, December 7, from 8:30 p.m., in the Saint-Martin church. Reservations are already open via the link posted on the association's Facebook page or at the tourist office of Condé-en-Normandie (open Thursday) and that of Vire, at the rate of €8 via Helloasso reservation or €10 on site (free for under 12s).
Animations Saint-Martin is offering places, “just share the post, mention the name of the person with whom you would like to come to the concert and subscribe to the association page,” explains Ludovic Bruno.
On-site entertainment
Market exhibitors will be in place from 11 a.m.with Dimitri who will provide entertainment throughout the day. In the afternoon, oversized games will be available and carriage rides will be possible from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
On the sidelines of the market, guided tours of the district departing from the church will be offered every hour, “1,600 years of history will be explained from the year 26 to the year 1626 from the Saint-Martin church, the Cour au Roy, passing through Square Maurice Dossin,” explains the president.
Santa Claus will welcome children to his chalet from 2 p.m., for photos with the famous red man.
Meeting with Santa Claus
A mailbox will be available to collect children's letters. You must be careful not to forget to write down your address to obtain a response.
The church's nativity scene will be to be discovered throughout the day, the Mass will be celebrated there at 5:30 p.m.
A tartiflette prepared by the association team will be available for sale both for lunch and for dinner before the concert.
