The accident took place this Tuesday, December 3 in the middle of the day in Vénès on the RD612, at the exit of the village towards Castres. For unknown reasons, a car and a truck collided. The driver of the car, a 21-year-old woman, died. Firefighters ask on Facebook “to avoid the area and facilitate access for emergency services”.
The Tarn has just experienced one of the darkest periods in its history regarding road deaths. In all, nine people died on its roads in just 15 days. Five young people lost their lives on November 17.
On November 27, a 19-year-old died in the town of Fraysse and on November 28, a woman died in an accident during the night in La Tête au Garric, her body was found under the vehicle. The day before yesterday, December 1, a 26-year-old young man was found dead in his vehicle which had swerved.
The young woman who died this Tuesday, December 3 is the 31st person to die while driving on the roads of Tarn since the start of 2024.
