The producer and actor of the series “That’s Paris!”, on France 2, has never left this building but…
Dominique Besnehard, who co-produces – and plays a small role – the new France 2 series entitled That’s Paris!has lived in the same place all his life… or almost! The 70-year-old producer and artistic agent lives in the same building as fifty years ago… but he has changed apartments in the meantime.
Dominique Besnehard has lived in the same building since his youth
Born in Bois-Colombes, he grew up between Houlgate and Vire, in Normandy, but left the region at 19 to settle in Paris and try to break into the cinema. He studied at the rue Blanche school, management and directing section, and stayed in a maid’s room on the sixth floor of a building in the Etoile district in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, indicates Galawho recently interviewed and photographed him in his apartment.
Today, Dominique Besnehard, who earns a very good living after years as an agent for the biggest stars including Sophie Marceau, still lives in the same building… but he obviously no longer resides in the maid’s room: he is now installed in a spacious first floor apartment!
Dominique Besnehard, ready to leave Paris?
Some time ago, Dominique Besnehard also bought an apartment where he grew up, in Houlgate, in Calvados, right next to the sea, in the former Grand Hôtel. “When I leave Paris, this is where I will go (…) Today I have a real attachment to Normandy, my whole family lives there“, he confided to West France.
But for the moment, Dominique Besnehard does not plan to retire anytime soon. “As a producer, I have a project at the theater. A remake of the play The Boys of the Band, already produced in 1969 with Gérard Depardieu, for which I bought the rights“, he confided to Gala.

In terms of love life, the producer behind the success of Ten percent is less well off. “In my private life, I always had this very special gift for falling madly in love with actors who didn’t have a career. Devoid of talent. Besides, I believe that many of them made me believe that they loved me, but were just hoping to break into the profession through me“, he confided to Gala.
