Around 150 high school students gathered on Tuesday, December 3, in front of the Brochon high school (Côte-d’Or), not far from Dijon, after the arrest of one of their teachers, accused of possessing child pornography images, noted a journalist from France Bleu Bourgogne on site.
Everyone is in shock after learning of the arrest of one of their physics and chemistry teachers, who will be tried next January. At his home, investigators found 100,000 child pornography images, acquired between May 2023 and September 2024.
“A predator has no place in front of a painting”could we read in front of Brochon high school on Tuesday. “He was a good teacher, he had a friendly demeanor”testifies Marine to France Bleu Bourgogne. “He was passionate about what he did. But I think now of phrases, things that he could do in class. For example, at the beginning of the year, he told us that we could call him ‘uncle.’ It became a joke in high school, everyone called it that, but now that we have another context, I find it completely inappropriate.”
The high school principal has set up a listening and support unit for all students in the establishment. The targeted professor has been under judicial supervision since Friday.
