The Eure-et-Loir departmental fire and rescue service launched an intervention in the town center of Lucénear Chartres, this Tuesday December 3, 2024 shortly after 2 p.m.
Following work, a gas pipe was hit on the public highway and a leak caused.
Securing the neighborhood, a restaurant evacuated
SDIS 28 dispatched around ten firefighters from the Lucé and Chartres emergency centers to the scene. Two machines were also engaged to carry out reconnaissance operations, the installation of a security perimeter.
A hose was deployed for protection and around fifteen people who were in a restaurant near the leak were evacuated by themselves before access to the street was closed.
The intervention ended around 3:15 p.m., earthworks were undertaken by GRDF teams. 234 clients were impacted by this gas cut.
