Several Israeli strikes have targeted Lebanon since the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah came into force on November 27. The pro-Iranian party has not announced a response.
A man was killed by an Israeli drone strike on the village of Marjeyoun near the Israeli border in southern Lebanon, the Health Ministry said.
The national information agency (ANI, official) specified that the man was riding a motorcycle.
Shortly before, a drone targeted an army post in the Hermel region in eastern Lebanon, injuring one soldier, the army said.
“An enemy drone targeted an army bulldozer which was carrying out work in an army position,” injuring a soldier, added the same source.
On Sunday, the Israeli army said it had killed fighters in southern Lebanon and had located a tunnel “containing weapons”.
For its part, ANI reports “repeated violations of the ceasefire” in southern Lebanon by Israeli forces since the truce came into force and in particular shootings on border villages.
Sponsored by the United States and France, the ceasefire agreement provides for the withdrawal within 60 days of the Israeli army from Lebanon.
Hezbollah, for its part, must retreat to the north of the Litani River, around 30 kilometers from the border, and dismantle its military infrastructure in southern Lebanon.
Israel said it reserves “complete freedom of military action” in Lebanon, “if Hezbollah violates the agreement and attempts to rearm”.
