Ousmane Sonko, emblematic figure of the Pastef party, firmly maintains his position regarding his intention to lead the Prime Minister's Office, despite growing questions. The question was directly asked to the person concerned by the press upon his arrival at the National Assembly, during the official installation of the 15th Legislature this Monday.
Sonko, recognized for having orchestrated Pastef's resounding victory during the recent early legislative elections, appears today as the essential architect of the party's governance project. Aware of the major political issues, he insists on the fact that no one else knows and understands better than him the deep aspirations and promises made during the electoral campaign.
This retention in the Prime Minister's office is not only a personal ambition, but also a necessity to give life to a political project that he considers vital for the future of the country. According to him, this is the only way that will meet the expectations of the population, who massively supported Pastef in his quest for change and a break with the old regime.
Ousmane Sonko thus intends to be at the heart of the implementation of the promised reforms and the management of public affairs with a clear and bold vision.
