PREMIER LEAGUE (13th day)
By beating Manchester City (2-0), Liverpool takes an 11-point lead over Guardiola and his men, relegated to 5th place. Arsenal (5-2 winner at West Ham, where Aréola was on the bench) is 2nd, 9 points behind the Reds, tied with Chelsea (winner of Aston Villa, 3-0). Manchester United, for their part, celebrated Amorin's first match in the Premier League by inflicting a clear 4-0 on Everton.
LIGA (15th day)
Beaten on their lawn by Las Palmas, Barça sees Real Madrid, winner of Getafe (2-0, with a goal from Kylian Mbappé, his 8th in La Liga) coming back on their heels. The Madrilenians are at one point, with a late match to play in Valencia (December 19). The star of the weekend is Antoine Griezmann, author of an exceptional goal during Atletico's 5-0 success in Valladolid. Note, the goal of Frenchman Thiernot Barry with Villarreal, who conceded a draw at home against Girona.
BUNDESLIGA (12th day)
Forced to a draw (1-1) in Dortmund, Bayern saw Frankfurt, winner in Heidenheim (4-0, including a goal from Ekitiké, who came into play in the 73rd minute), come back to 4 points. Leverkusen won in Berlin against the Union (2-1) and took advantage of Leipzig's rout at home against Wolfsburg (1-5) to take 3rd place.
SERIES A (14th day)
Winner at Torino (1-0), Naples takes 4 points ahead of Inter, who saw their match in Florence stopped, then postponed, due to Bove's illness (taken to hospital in a critical situation) at the start of the first period. AC Milan beats Empoli (3-0) and comes within 4 points of Juventus (6th), hanging on to Lecce (1-1), with Kephren Thuram and Timothy Weah starting (at No. 9 for Weah). The Roma – Atalanta Bergamo match takes place this Monday, at 8:45 p.m.
