The last sacred monster of French cinema is gone. On August 18, Alain Delon is dead at the age of 88. After his disappearance, Anthony, Anouchka and Alain-Fabien Delon spoke out in a press release. They notably indicated that he “died peacefully in his house in Douchy (Loiret), surrounded by his three children and his family”. The last months of Alain Delon’s life were highly publicized. Indeed, his children were torn about his state of health. On the one hand, his two sons wanted the actor to stay in his home in Douchy. On the other hand, his daughter wanted to repatriate him to Switzerland, to be with her. A request which was ultimately unsuccessful.
Anthony Delon: “I fought this fight for my father”
On Wednesday November 27, Anthony Delon was a guest on the show Le Figaro la nuit. Asked by Thibaut Gauthier on the tensions around the state of health of Alain Delon, he explained: “There was a fight, I fought this fight for my father. It was the best thing, I had nothing else to do”. According to the Cheetah’s eldest son, it was essential that he could end his days in Douchy. “The whole of France knew where he wanted to go and how” he indicated.
