The pass of two for Werenoi
His name? Werenoi! Still unknown a few years ago, the rapper from Montreuil has quickly become one of the big names on the French hip-hop scene. Already in 2023, his record “Carré” was the best-selling album of the year with 196,000 copies sold. A great performance that he is preparing to repeat this year. Indeed, until then, it was PLK which was racing at the top of the rankings. Until last week, he reigned with the 247,000 sales of his three-part mixtape “Room 140”, unveiled over three consecutive weeks. But Werenoi can count on the enormous success of his second album “Pyramide”, recently reissued under the name “Pyramide 2” and containing duets with Gazo, SDM, Aya Nakamura and, indeed, PLK!

With nearly 6,600 additional sales recorded this week, the Werenoi “Pyramid” counter displays precisely 250,800 copies. Which allowed him to achieve the best selling album of the year in France! But with a weekly volume three times higher, Werenoi should easily outpace it in the coming weeks, especially as the holidays arrive. Third place on the podium is occupied by the CD of the 2024 Enfoirés show, “On a 35 ans”, sold more than 155,000 copies.
