On October 22, 2024, a man who had hosted a homeless person in his house located in a town in the North of Sarthe, was attacked, in particular with a baseball batby the man he had welcomed.

Both men were sentenced to prison terms.

The oldest was sentenced to two years in prisonincluding 6 months suspended. The 18 months in prison are accompanied by continued detention.

The youngest was sentenced to one year in prisonincluding 6 months suspended and 6 months with continued detention. His previous suspended sentence was revoked for 6 months, with an order for his immediate committal. He will therefore have to spend a year behind bars.
