Increase in gas prices

The Energy Regulatory Commission has communicated its benchmark gas sales price grid for the month of December 2024: for cooking and hot water, it will cost €0.14135/kWh and for heating, 0 .11,237 €/kWh. This is the average price for customers connected to the GrDF network. That is, compared to the prices for the month of November, increases of 2.2% and 2.8%, points out UFC-Que Choisir.

Increase in prices for medical consultations with general practitioners…

Following the national agreement between private doctors and Health Insurance, approved by decree in June, the prices of medical consultations will increase, from 22December. “A visit to the GP will cost €30, compared to €26.50 currently. For children under 6 years old, the consultation will increase to €35, compared to €31.50 until now,” details the Service-Public.fr website.

…and among specialists

Furthermore, consultations with several specialists will increase in December, particularly at pediatricians : from €38.50 to €39 for a child under 2 years old and from €33.50 to €35 for a child aged 2 to under 6 years old. Among other increases, those of consultations at the psychiatrist, neuropsychiatrist or neurologist (from €51.70 to €55), at the child psychiatrist (75 €), the medical gynecologist (from €33.50 to €37) or the geriatrician (from €31.50 to €37). Finally, melanoma screening consultation with the dermatologist will go from €47.50 to €54. Further increases will take effect in July 2025.

Tramadol or codeine: the prescription obligation finally postponed
Still in the field of health, the obligation of a secure prescription to obtain medicines containing tramadol or codeine, which was initially due to come into force on December 1, was finally postponed to March 1, 2025, announced the National Medicines Safety Agency on November 25.

Payment of the Christmas bonus

The Christmas bonus, this exceptional end-of-year bonus paid automatically to beneficiaries of minimum social benefits, will be paid the 17December.
