On the night of Wednesday, November 27, one or more suspects set fire to a vehicle immobilized under the temporary shelter of a residence on rue de la Roseraie, in Sainte-Dorothée.
This is the second event of its kind to occur in this area, an arson fire igniting four vehicles and part of a house on Chemin du Bord de l’eau on the night of Thursday, November 21.
This time, the incident occurred around 1:45 a.m. and damaged the vehicle and the temporary shelter so heavily that everything was a total loss.
Luckily, the fire did not spread to the house in this residential area of western Laval located north of Saint-Martin Boulevard, near Mont-Laval and Sainte-Dorothée woods.
The Laval Police Department dispatched its investigators and forensic identification experts to the scene, while the investigation continues.
