Meeting with the talents of 'This Is Me' on Canale 5

New appointment this evening on Canale 5 with “This Is Me”, the show by Silvia Toffanin which highlights many singing and dancing talents who made their debut in the oldest talent show on television : Friend. After the audience records of the first show, today, thirteen other protagonists of music and dance from Maria De Filippi's show will tell their stories in Silvia Toffanin's living room. With them, many guests will be present in the studio. Among them, Giordana Angi.

Giordana Angi, who is she

Born in Vannes (France) on January 12, 1994, Giordana Angi is 30 years old. Daughter of a French mother – a flight attendant – and an Italian father, she spent the first years of her life between Italy and France, before settling in Aprilia (Latina) with her family. There, she decided to devote herself to music, starting to take guitar, piano and jazz singing lessons. After the baccalaureate in classics, in 2020, she announced that she had enrolled in the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy at the university.

The career

In 2012 she participated in Sanremo Giovani with the song “Incognita poesia”. Subsequently, she performed “Poker Generation”, the soundtrack to the eponymous film by Minigotto. In 2015, she collaborated with Absolut and participated in their single “Ti lascio andare”, while a year later released her first single “Chiusa con te (XXX)”, produced by Tiziano Ferro. The following year, Giordana sang “Bam Bam”, theme song for the second edition of Lazio Pride. The same year the song “Amarti (qui ed ora)” was released. In 2018 she wrote the single presented in Sanremo by Nina Zilli, “Senza appartenere”, and in October of the same year she joined “Amici” by Maria De Filippi, placing in second place and obtaining the Critics' Prize journalists. There she published numerous unpublished works, such as “Casa”, “Chiedo di non chiedere”, “Quante volte ad aspettarti”, “Questa è vita” and “Ti ho creduto”. In 2019, his EP, “Casa,” was released, debuting at number two on the FIMI Album chart and receiving gold disc certification for over 25,000 copies sold. In the same year, the album “Voglio essere tua” was also published. On December 31, she announced her participation in the 2020 Sanremo Festival with the song “Come mia madre”, with which she would rank 20th in the final ranking. During 2019 she wrote and produced several tracks for Tiziano Ferro's seventh album, “Accetto miracoli”.

Recent years

In May 2020, she was confirmed in the cast of Amici Speciali with Gaia, The Kolors, Michele Bravi and Irama. A year later, she released her second studio album, titled “Mi muovo”. She also writes several pieces for Deddy, finalist of the twentieth edition of “Amici”, and for Alessandra Amoroso. Angi also participates as a judge for the initial auditions of the twenty-first edition of Amici de Maria De Filippi and collaborates during the show as a tutor and singing coach. In 2022, she founded with Mamo Giovenco, Emanuela Sempio, Gabriele Costanzo, the singer Briga and Fascino PGT a record label, called “21co”. Angi serves as A&R for the label. She was an associate of the group until the following year. In 2022 his third studio album, entitled “Questa fragile bellezza”, was released. She then declared that she was working in London on a new album in four versions, Italian, English, French and Spanish.

Privacy

Not much is known about Giordana Angi's private life. Although she has been very open about her sexuality, openly declaring herself gay during her appearance on “Amici,” the singer has always kept her private life discreet.
