Firefighters and GRDF agents were called this Wednesday, November 27, 2024, early in the morning, for a gas leak on the network, rue de Nantes. The artery has currently been under construction for a week, one to repair the wastewater pipes.
According to initial information provided by the City, a gas pipe was damaged following the work.
More than 300 homes deprived of gas
For the moment, 357 homes are currently without gas, mainly individual houses in the neighborhood in the Beau Vallon sector. Around twenty people were evacuated. The town hall has also opened a room at the Ateliers, rue des Frères-Dévéria, to accommodate the residents concerned during the intervention. A meal will be provided to them this midday by the central kitchen.
Rue de Nantes was closed to traffic in the downward direction, from the intersection with Rue du Beau Vallon.
