Firefighters and GRDF agents were called this Wednesday, November 27, 2024, early in the morning, for a gas leak on the network, rue de Nantes. The artery has currently been under construction for a week, one to repair the wastewater pipes.

If the incident was made safe around 11 a.m., some 357 homes are currently without gas, mainly individual houses in the neighborhood, in the Beau-Vallon sector. Power should only be restored at the end of the day. “A GRDF technician must visit each household concerned for this re-supply”specifies the City.

The town hall had once planned to open a room at the Ateliers, rue des Frères-Dévéria, to accommodate the residents concerned for the duration of the intervention, with meals provided at midday. Ultimately there will be no accommodation.

Traffic in the downward direction of rue de Nantes – from the intersection with rue du Beau-Vallon – remains cut off until gas is resupplied to the pipe.
