PTo understand at a glance why Damotech exists, type “ rack collapse » on YouTube: Dozens of videos show entire warehousing systems collapsing like houses of cards. Because as sturdy as they appear, the immense metal structures where companies store their pallets of products can collapse if a forklift hits them. To avoid the worst, Damotech offers engineering services, but above all repair kits guaranteed for life – steel parts which make it possible to solidify the uprights avant that an accident happens.

In addition to being dangerous for employees, a collapsing structure can cause hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage and disrupt warehouse operations. “We do business with companies who are concerned about this risk and who know that it is avoidable. That’s our market,” says Eric Naaman, big boss of the Boisbriand company that he bought in 2010. Damotech’s repair kits are installed quickly, and without welding, directly into the existing structure, specifies Eric Naaman.

To meet growing demand for its products, it will triple production using new equipment that automates cutting and assembly. But the success of the company also depends on the performance of its 225 employees, believes the owner of Damotech. To thank them, he asked them what their biggest dreams were and pledged to achieve 35 of them by the 35the anniversary of the box this year. Thus, an employee and her daughter will fly to Hawaii next June. “I have 34 left to grant! » he says.
