Bayern Munich fans unfurled a banner openly criticizing PSG’s ownership model.
PSG faced a hostile reception this evening at the Allianz Arena. The Parisians traveled to the home of Bayern Munich in a decisive match for their Champions League hopes, and Bavarian fans made it clear they were not welcome.
Before kick-off, Bayern Munich supporters displayed a banner addressed to Nasser Al-Khelaifi, owner of PSG. This openly criticized the ownership model of the Parisian club and the considerable power exercised by its president.
“Minister, club owner, TV rights holder, UEFA Executive Committee member and ECA president, all in one? Does football belong to me? Go to hell, plutocratic Al-Khelaifi,” could we read on the banner.

The message was also written in French to ensure that it resonated with the Parisian council in general and Nasser Al-Khelaifi in particular.
Beyond this institutional blow, Bayern Munich compromises PSG’s ambitions in the Champions League. The Bavarians lead the score thanks to a single goal from Kim Min Jae, leaving the Parisians temporarily eliminated.
