While the Israeli Prime Minister announced the ceasefire, the shopping district of Hamra, in the heart of Beirut, was targeted by a strike which hit a building according to an AFP journalist.
Several sources attribute this bombing to the Jewish state. CThis district, usually very lively, is home to residential buildings, restaurants, offices, stores and the American University of Beirut.
