Unlike that of Blackfin Capital Partners, Seven2's stake is majority. The private equity fund will support the external growth of CGP.

Seven2 has signed a protocol to acquire a stake in Olifan Group, alongside management. According to News Asset Pro, which revealed the information, the former Apax Partners would have positioned itself for a majority stake.

Olifan Group has been 40% owned since 2021 by Blackfin Capital Partners, but the transaction with Seven2 allows the private equity fund to withdraw. The new shareholding also includes employees: 80 of them have invested “significantly”, specify the three companies in a press release. The management team remains unchanged.

Olifan Group, which prides itself on advising €2 billion in assets, will continue with this new support its external growth strategy, which has led it to acquire four CGPs in 2024. To date, the entity is made up of 15 firms .

“We look forward to supporting Hein Donders [le président d’Olifan Group NDLR] and its teams and to provide our support in their ambitious growth and consolidation strategy, with the intention of leveraging our experience of buy-and-build theses and our knowledge of the world of financial services and in particular asset management”, specify Isabelle Hermetet and Martin Bouilleux, partner and director at Seven2.

As always, the finalization of the transaction is subject to the approval of the AMF.
