A disturbing theory launched during his trial at the courthouse in Longueuil, while Quebec paid tribute to victims of domestic violence.

The suspect, who now identifies as a woman under the name of Lévana Ballouz, is accused of the premeditated murders of her children aged 2 and 5 and the unpremeditated murder of Synthia Bussières in Brossard. Ballouz also allegedly caused an arson attack at the family condo to cover up his crime, according to evidence previously presented during the trial.

Noovo Info spoke with the mother of Synthia Bussières, Sylvie Guertin, before the new theory of the person accused in this case was heard. See it in the video.

Ms. Guertin is having a very difficult time with the trial of Mohamad Al-Ballouz, who is defending himself without a lawyer in court.

She used to go twice a week – she had the strength to attend the hearings when the Crown asked the questions. But when Ballouz speaks, “his tone is so aggressive that I immediately leave the room, I’m not capable,” she told Noovo Info.

The jury trial is expected to last six weeks. It will be suspended from December 24, 2024 to January 6, 2025 during judicial holidays.
