In Laval, a 30-year-old man died after being stabbed in the abdomen, on the night of Saturday November 23 to Sunday November 24, 2024, in the residential district of Bourny. His twin brother was injured in the face by a rifle butt. The events, which occurred around 1:30 a.m., took place at the bottom of their building located near Place de la Commune.
According to West Francethe altercation allegedly involved several individuals, who fled after the attacks. The victim's brother would have been the first to find his twin unconscious before being attacked himself. Transported to hospital for treatment during the night, he was able to return home a few hours later.
Investigation underway for aggravated homicide
A flagrant investigation was opened for intentional homicide and attempted aggravated homicide. This was entrusted to the Interdepartmental Judicial Police Service (SIPJ) of Angers, in collaboration with the departmental direction of the national police of Mayenne. Forensic police technicians went to the site to carry out surveys and collect clues in this area lacking video protection.
