/ LAST MINUTE /
A restaurant is completely ablaze, this Monday, November 25, 2024 in the evening, at Palavas-les-Flots, south of Montpellier. Significant resources are committed by the Sdis 34.
The alert was given around 7:30 p.m. The intervention is located on Avenue de l’Évêché de Maguelone, on the right bank of the seaside resort, where numerous fire engines and soldiers, including an ambulance and a large ladder, are engaged. Reinforcements are expected.
Spread upstairs
The flames spread to an apartment located on the first floor of the L’Albatros residence comprising three floors. All tenants are being evacuated.

Explosions occur, undoubtedly caused by gas cylinders stored in the building. The strong wind does not help the firefighters’ mission.
THE municipal police and the gendarmes are also on site. The origin of this violent fire is currently unknown. Avoid the area until further notice.
