After the Tricolor Days, after Craft Friday, here is Repair Friday. If, next weekend, the Barbès district is trafficked, it will not be because of Black Friday. Veja opens its headquarters, the former printing works of the Communist Party, to Parisians for its first Repair Friday. For two days, Sébastien Kopp and François Ghislain-Morillon, the founders of this sustainable and ethical sneaker label, transformed their offices into a vast repair workshop. You can come with your sneakers, whatever their brand, but also your hiking shoes or your spitting hot water bottle, and have them repaired. These repairs are carried out by friendly brands: Repair Café, Cyclo care, Anti-Fashion Projet, A la ville A la montagne, but also Vitra which is the publisher of Charles Eames chairs, and, for leather jackets, the specialist Aurélie Chadaine leather. Content creator Quelaqali, specialist in sneakers, will lead an introduction to sneaker care. If Sébastien Kopp and François Ghislain-Morillon had the idea of this frenzied anti-sales movement, it is because reparation makes sense to them. Since 2020, they have opened twenty shoe repair shops around the world and repaired 35,000 pairs of shoes.
We give you the address: Veja, 146 rue du Faubourg Poissonnière, 75010 Paris.
