The firefighters started the week by increasing their interventions. In addition to multiple damages linked to strong gusts of sales which caused a tree to fall on a car parked in Dijon or the explosion of an exterior window on the terrace of a restaurant on Place des Halles, firefighters also had to manage two fires on the afternoon of Monday, November 25.
A barge on fire in Longvic
The alert was given at 1:51 p.m. to the firefighters. A barge was the victim of a violent fire while it was at the North quay of the Canal de l'Ouche in Longvic. When firefighters arrived, they found the boat completely engulfed in flames. It had residential use.
The Côte-d'Or Fire and Rescue Service explains that it has ruled out any risk of the flames spreading and specifies that there are no victims. The operation mobilized around twenty firefighters.
A house victim of a kitchen fire in Saint-Martin-de-la-Mer
A little earlier, it was in the town of Saint-Martin-de-la-Mer that around twenty firefighters were mobilized for a kitchen fire which broke out at midday in a pavilion. The flames spread to the attic of the house. An occupant of the accommodation was slightly injured and transported in emergency to the Semur-en-Auxois Hospital Center. The victim was able to exit the building before firefighters arrived. But emergency services managed to extract a dog who was still in the house and who was then evacuated to the Saulieu veterinary clinic. The main fire was able to be extinguished but it was necessary to clear the attic to stop the progression of the flames.
