“I’m very well surrounded, and that’s what helps me get through it,” she confides. His daughter Lola was found dead in a trunk on October 14, 2022, in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. Delphine returned to the disappearance of her husband Johan, who died on February 23 at just 49 years old, overcome by grief.
“My husband couldn’t get over what had happened, it was real chaos in his head. He had stopped drinking three years before this tragedy, but this made him plunge back immediately. His body didn’t hold up, he didn’t eat anymore, he didn’t sleep anymore. He was like a zombie,” she says.
Before leaving, Johan had hoped that his wife would gradually regain a semblance of serenity. Asked about her ability to cope, Delphine explains: “Yes, in a way, thanks to my family. I am extremely lucky to have my son. He’s the one who helps me stand up, who gives me a reason to get up every morning. Without him, I probably wouldn’t be here today,” she confides with emotion. Lola’s mother also spoke about the case, and “the other” – the woman accused of killing her daughter. “When I’m told that she was in her natural state when she did it, it’s even worse… Is she capable of doing that in her normal state? ! No, I don’t accept and I never will.”
