It is a name that has left its mark. Jean-Pierre Descombes died at his home on Sunday, June 30, as his son Romain Descombes announced to theAFP. The television man had been suffering from Parkinson’s disease for several years. He withdrew from media life in order to devote himself to his health but he left his mark. In the 1970s and 1980s, Jean-Pierre Descombes was omnipresent on the air of FR3, the former name of France 3. Viewers were able to see him again between 1976 and 1987 as he hosted The 8 p.m. Gameswhich have become very popular. During this one, general knowledge questions were asked to these celebrities and anonymous people. After having hosted this cult show for a long time, viewers were able to find Jean-Pierre Descombes behind the camera. He was the voice-over artist for hit entertainment shows in the 1980s and 1990s. We can notably cite: The right price or A gold family on TF1. In the 2000s, Jean-Pierre Descombes switched to hosting trade fairs, galas or events such as the tour of former glories of the 1960s and 1970s entitled Tender age and wooden head in 2012. A few years later, in 2018, he made notable appearances in the shows Do not touch My TV or The Big Laugh.
