Two weeks to clarify the gray areas of this affair.

Ludovic Bertin, 29, appears for the murder of Victorine Dartois, an 18-year-old student, whose body was found in a stream in Villefontaine, two days after her disappearance in September 2020. The accused faces life imprisonment. .

On September 26, 2020, Victorine, after an outing with friends, missed her bus connection. She then decides to walk the whole way home. At 6:55 p.m., she warned her loved ones that she was near the Prairie stadium. A few minutes later, she disappears.

Mobilized in large numbers, residents and law enforcement officers are carrying out intense searches. Her body was finally discovered the following Monday in the Turitin, a stream near Villefontaine, partially undressed.

Arrested two weeks later, Ludovic Bertin quickly confessed to the murder. But his explanations vary throughout the investigation. He mentions an altercation with Victorine who allegedly insulted him after a shove, claiming to have strangled her, explaining his action by taking cocaine. However, disturbing elements, such as the jeans found at the victim's feet, raise questions about his intentions, in particular an attempted rape which he categorically denies.

In addition to the murder of Victorine, Ludovic Bertin will also have to answer for a rape committed in 2018 in Saint-Laurent-de-Mure. The jury will have to decide on the charges against him, and remove the many gray areas surrounding this tragedy.

The verdict is expected on Friday December 6.
